Late Pastor V.M Samuel & Somey

Founder of New Life Fellowship Church, South India, Middle East & Global

Under the leadership of the Late Pastor V. M. Samuel with a God given vision, New Life Fellowship church planting movement in South India and the Middle East was birthed.  Both Pastor Samuel and his wife Somey Samuel, were sold out for God and pursued all that the Lord had put in their hearts to fulfil the mission to reach the unreached. Having served in Operation Mobilization India, they joined NLF Mumbai in 1982, and  were obedient to the call of God to plant strong and dynamic biblical churches in the state of Karnataka, starting in Mangalore.

Their zeal and fervor along with a firm adherence to the Word of God made them powerful instruments in the hand of the Lord. With a passionate motto of ‘Grow, Go, Give’, Pastor Samuel sought the Lord for strategies to move towards the goal of not just reaching cities but small villages, taluks and panchayats. Teamwork, corporate prayer, and servant leadership were the foundational stones.  Till the very end, his life reflected the truth of staying focused on the divine vision, stirring many hearts to obey the call of God, sowing into a legacy that continues to bless generations.

Somey Samuel continues to serve God’s people being a constant encouragement to the pastors and leaders of NLF along with her ardent work with the underprivileged through the secular charitable organization Reaching Hand.

The life and legacy of Late Pastor V.M. Samuel is recorded in the book ‘Like Father, like father’  available in bookstores
